Development of the footwear cluster

The Czech Footwear and Leather Association (CFLA) operates as a cluster of manufacturers and sellers of footwear and leather goods, however, research organisations, educational institutions and testing laboratories are also members of CFLA. For this reason, in 2020, a project entitled "Development of the footwear cluster", reg. no. CZ.01.1.02/0.0/0.0/20_333/0023659 was launched within the OP PIK programme, which is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.

IDEA - Innovative Design for Environmental Awareness

The IDEA – Innovative Design for Environmental Awareness project connects educational institutions and professional organisations from the Czech Republic and Portugal with the aim of modernising footwear education and preparing a new generation of specialists for the challenges of sustainability, eco-design and digital technologies.

The project partners are the Czech Footwear and Leather Association (COKA), newly in the role of coordinator, the Secondary School of Art and Design Uherské Hradiště (SUPŠ UH), and the Portuguese Footwear Technology Centre (CTCP). Together, they link industrial practice, research and education to create a comprehensive system of innovative teaching materials and teaching methods that reflect current trends and European sustainability requirements.

Digital educational program for diabetic foot control.

There are approximately 60 million people living with diabetes in Europe, and the number of people with diabetes is increasing in the European region, across all age groups. This is mainly due to an increase in overweight, obesity, consumption of unhealthy diets and lack of physical activity.

DicSHOEnary

Interpretive shoe dictionary to help manufacturers and retailers

The Czech Footwear and Leather Association (ČOKA) is a partner in an international ERASMUS+ project called DicSHOEnary. The output of this project will be a language guide with a complete overview of the professional vocabulary for footwear and leather in English and in the languages of the partners.
